Gensurf terrain tool and tutorial

Post by Balr14 »

I've created a tutorial, that includes the MOHAA version of GenSurf. You can get it here: http://www.badongo.com/file/1066314
and here: http://files.filefront.com/Gensurf_Tut0 ... einfo.html

This tutorial shows you how to:

1. create the bitmap image

2. configure Gensurf

3. Build the map

4. Smooth surfaces and manipulate vertices of triangles

5. Split triangles

It includes the bit map used and the .map files saved at 2 points in the terrain construction.

I've added a second tutorial for building a cliff in the map provided in the first tutorial. You can DL it here: http://files.filefront.com/Gensurf_Tut0 ... einfo.html

Why so? Everytime I test DLs from there it seems to work decently. But, I'm open to suggestions.

Dunno, just hosts like that and Rapidshare.de have something evil about them, they creep me out. :? They try to trick people into buying an account by concealing the free download link and stuff. I'd be very careful with their TOS, too.

Sounds like you are on 56k. Try turning off your anti-virus and anti spyware programs.

After you.............

I do have to once in a while........ gee, guess what........... it works. Not going to kill you to shut them down just before you try and download. Right after that....... turn them back on.
