I cant get it to switch to a text file there is a program with a yellow circle and it edits the files i dont know what exactly its called can someone help me please id ont want to use a regular text editor i want a program any help is great thank you.

Nothing can be easier than notepad.........

Open NotePad, Drag the .scr file into NotePad and whalaa...
Or open NotePad and goto file, The Open, Then find your .scr

NotePad is the only program needed for editing .scr files...Its only text.

I think he ment he does not want to use notepad but instead another text editor that he does not know the name of like crimson editor or textpad although I think textpad is shareware crimson editor is free but for either program you will still have to make a syntax file to get the word highlighting . These aren't script makeing programs though just text editors

what i want is a program that is MEANT JUST FOR SCR files wont read any others........ and what it is is it lets you edit them....... and save them but its not a text editor......

tutorial for something and i had it but i forgot what it is its ok if someone knows please let me know....
but i fixed it so i could open them wit text but i would still like the program.

A .scr is actually a screen saver extension givin by windows, I used to think EA gave it the .scr extension because thats the first 3 letters of script [My Noob Days]

The only program i ever used was NotePad
The only other program that i know of to edit .scr files would be a theme builder??

Download MOHAA TOOLS and install it. Open up windows explorer and seek out mohaa tools. In it you will see the script editor.

I never used it though, so can't comment on it.

".scr" files can be set to open with any text editor you like -- in My Computer > tools > Folder Options > File Types. Changing file type will not hurt screensavers. After it is changed, you will be able to open, modify, and save them as .scr files.

I know this since he used to be in my clan.

if an admin would like to pm me ill give u his IP to test for a match. but im sure its him since mattneed was in his msn. and the player "mattneed" on my server's ip matches the player "snipster"

it's him allright, he's had other allias but the above he's used before and is also the one he currently is using on msn messenger.
