Hi,

I know the combination of Ctrl + Shift to select a part of terrain and per sample apply a specific texture for this "part".

But, i dont know how i delete this selection creating a hole into my terrain.

Exists a operation in menu or keyboard combinations ??? :(

I think you're thinking about the CSG Subtract option (which in most cases is seen as the worst option)...you create a new brush and stick it in the area of your terrain that you want to remove, then hold down SHIFT and hit "u" on the keyboard.

detatch and delete

Shift+X will only detach it from the rest (see the LOD Terrain menu). After it is detatched, you can delete it with the delete key.

If you want to delete one of the smaller triangles, you have to use the Facet Editor (shift + F). The flaged triangles will still be seen in the editor (as a ghost), but they will be invisable, and non-solid, in the game. Study the "MOH Terrain Editing Manual" in the MOHAATools/docs folder for more information.

are the ghosts distinguishable from the others? like maybe a lighter shade or tinted some sort of color? or do you just ahve to hope you can remember which they are?

ya i know that but i mean when you select a small triangle of the LOD and delete it and it becomes invis and nonsolid in-game; in the editor when you unslect it after deleteing the triagnles, can you tell the difference between the ghosted triangles and the still visible and solid?

OH I see what your saying you are setting the facet flags . Choose color surface flags from the lod menu .Set scale 1 from the lod menu . When you select your terrain with control shift it should look like this if you did it right . Some of the time it dosent though but you should still be able to tell .

The reason the triangles don't go away completly in the editor, is so you can "undelete" them, if need be.
