1st Question
I have a problem with some textures. They disappear in the game...
Im aware that the textures just snap to each other. I have changed texture, that didnt work either...only on some of them...
Here is a screenshot:

2nd Question
When I add fog, I see its only around the brushes and everythind I?ve created. If I have an open sky with night texture then it isnt foged...that really look strange :D ...How do I solve that?

3rd Question
I have this strange thing in the game :

And 4th and last Question

For the doors, set the direction (angle) you want it to open, then change the "alwaysaway 1" default to 0.

Key: angle
Value: 90

Key: alwaysaway
Value: 0

Now the door will only open one way -- towards the 90 degree direction.

for the missing brushes try setting the grid to 1 and ctrl+g

if your farplane (fog) is the same as those screenshots you sent, i believe it looks pretty cool.

try making the value of your farplane's distance smaller.

key: farplane
value: XXX

one thing i do when i want a farplane effect but am using a brighter skybox texture is change the color of the farplane to black

key: farplane_color
value: 0 0 0

you don't get that real fog effect but it adds a thick ''shadow'' effect to the whole map.

as for that odd brush in the last ss; looks like a brush ''gone bad'' , i've had those before and rather than trying to figure it out , simply deleted it then rebuilt it.

bad brush

That weird brush is cause by having a lot of brushes that touch one long brush. It happens to ladders that are very tall, or balcony rails that are really long. To fix it you must cut the rail, or beam, into two or more brushes.

Yes , I made a fence and had to decrease the size because of the weird pixel problem.

Selecting the brushes of your wall and pressing ctrl+g snaps the brushes to the grid . They are probably off the grid and that is why they dissapear . If your going to use fog you may want to use caulk sky for your sky that is what it is for , foggy maps . The color of the sky with caulk sky is the color of the farplane color . Lastly read the forum rules about the proper pictures size that you are allowed to use in a post . Pictures are not suppose to be larger than 640x480 so it is better for 56k modem users ( if there are any left :) )

The caulk sky, where can I find it? I have been searching under "sky" but it wasnt there. Is there another name for it?

Read my "weird brush" post again. You should be able to see where the funny rays are coming from, so just rebuild or cut the long brushes into smaller segments.
