I was in the process of repairing someone's computer. Logged on to the Compaq website. I couldn't get the search to recognize my item. In desperation I typed in "Compaq" so I would get alist of all the computers... here's what I got...
We were unable to locate the software & driver downloads page for the product "compaq".
...ON THE COMPAQ website! LMAO!!!
I hate these website. None of them know what they're doing.
Cheers,
nic

my guess is that on their own website they have spamsafes agaist searches that would hit more than x number of items and simply cancel the search.
still a chuckler though.

And if you type 'kretyn' (Polish for 'dumbass'), you get redirected to one of Polish MP's page on the Polish Parliament website.
Have you seen the
WMD 404 error page? It used to appear when you typed 'mass destruction weapons' and clicked I'm feeling lucky.
It's funny you can fool Google so easily.
Thinking about that... I've just got an idea how make .map more popular:
sex!

No, it's just so that we might stand a chance in appearing in search results for the most searched word on the web.

If Google stumbles upon that link, it's going to index .map's URL under the keyword 'sex'.

Mac's used a "tredy, stylish" image to make people buy there computers rather then them acually doing anything great. Have you seen there advert? they have a realy young stylish looking guy to represent Mac's and some geek guy for windows. The ipod too, thats just as b. its ok, but hugly over rated.
As for Dell, yea, great for first time buyers who dont know what there looking for. I have recomended dell to a few peps but i wouldn't buy one. Even if the music is great on the advert?!?! LOL

wife had a mac laptop lent to her from the school she teaches at. gotta say the basic programs (ie. graphics) blows away anything windows has to offer. took some getting used to. i'd use a windows based for my office and wouldn't think twice about getting a mac for a laptop. of course it'd be a mess with the unsharing OSs.

Mac's got stylish graphics, icons, all that.. but i use only macs in college and windows at home. There great for music and graphics.. but there anoying to get your head around. they also seem to be slow when runnig 2 high powered programs at once. unless you buy a top end one.. but you can get an even better custom tower, windows computer for that price.
If i could afford it tho, i'd have both.

Well this is my opinion, not a fact. I think Macs are better for work because as you know, there aren't many games for mac because people who make bad decisions deside to go on limewire and download the games for free. But they have better organisation i think. Pcs on the other hand are better for heavy gamers like me. Although i don't have a Pc just macs and i try to game on that but its sorda hard. But if i had both that would be just heaven. I'm only 13 so i havn't decided what my life will come to. So far PKM has been role model to me. I'll explain it later. lol.

The best i've heard it put is thus.
Macs are for those who don't know better, PCs are for people who want a computer.
Personally there's no comparison, Macs are terrible for making software, playing games, downloading nifty programs (RSS readers and download managers, for a start), and anything else convinient or useful. you're stuck with what they give you, you want something else you're SOL.

and now its also the best ive heard.
I would have both, however. Because Photoshops windowed ways of working are better on a mac because i can drag them about etc etc. I'd have a mac simply for running photoshop/imageready and premiere but for everything else i'd rather use a real computer not a fancy toy which are, lets face it, all macs are.

what makes macs all fancy? There fine. Just different programming and looks. There not all fancy....
Yes i admit macs are bad for playing software and making software. But creating movies albums from pictures, things of that nature is what a mac is for. And actually i do know better. I'm not saying go out of your way to buy a mac because i wrote this stuff down. Different computers are for different people. Lets put it that way.
