Spawning...?

We did a beta test on my map yesterday evening, I have forgot to place allied and axis spawnpoint...the result was ofcause that we all spawned upon eachother

what a mess!!...though it was funny
Well I changed it and made some allied and some axis starting spawnpoints and deleted the old "player start"....but then it didnt work!?

How important is this "player start"? Isnt it enough to place the allied and axis starterpoint?...or did I forget something else....?
I also did a test with playerstart and axis/allied starts, and killed my self, to test but I just start at the playerstart instead of the allied spawnpoints everytime...

Haha yah typical thing to forget for the first mp test
I think the info_playerstart is used as a starting point for spectators.

oh ok...but dont allied and axis spawnpoints work when only one player appers in the map...?
You know what the info/player/Intermission is for?
Info/player/Deathmatch" is for "All vs All" right?

It will be fine, on a side note when building a map its best to place all three spawn types (allied, axis & deathmatch) side by side and many of them.
This will enable the game to spawn players away from their enemy rather than in one area, for example Algiers:
Axis take the roof area so any respawning allie would then spawn in an a location away from them.
Hope this makes sense and is of some assistance.

Intermission is for the end of a round, when the scores are displayed and every player is respawned, they are spawned on the intermission point and frozen so they can enjoy the scenery and their scores.

Yeah, it's the point to which all players' view is moved to when the map ends and the next one is about to start loading.
Actually, it's used only in 2 stock maps (as far as I know - I might be wrong) - The Bridge/Crossroads (you get a view of the bridge) and Southern France (right in front of a wall - I think it's just an oversight of the devs).

Yeah it's not necessary, if no intermission is defined it just fades to black.
