You have filters on... press CTRL & D and they will re-appear, notice on tour toolbar that "details" are probably filtered.

Yes, I knew that answer, I just have another question to ask.

Why do you make it "detail" to begin with?

good god can't we all just make one account and be happy? do we need group smurf hugs or something?

detail brushes are not affected by shadows, nor do they cast them. useful for stairs and banisters mainly, and background buildings, because they eat compile and load times when the impact they have on gameplay is virtually nil.

In scripting, " != " means "is not equal to".

To add to this, detail brushes do not block visability, the compile see's straight through them so therefore you will not be able to create area portals for example if any of the structure is detail.

I have to disappoint you there, they still can ;)

The only impact of the detail flag for a brush is that it just isn't taken into account when calculating VIS data.

Yes I do know, I just didn't think about it. I do php... here's a demo

Code: Select all

if ( $var != $var2 ){
If $var doesn't equal $var 2 then it'll do whatever you tell it to next
