Tank Server

Hey, I wanna make a map that would be good for "tanking" Basically everyone is a tank to begin with. It will be round-based only, no OBJ.
I'll be building the terrain n shit (where shit can blow up)
Probably 3-5 maps.
Would anyone be avaliable to do the tanking scripting. I want the driving to be like the SP map when you gotta drive around and blow the people up. This will be on a "SELECT" server only, meaning I don't want the mod handed out. So if you would like to do this, please reply.

seems like a big job. and when you say selected server, im guesin you mean like the BaseBuilding mod right? Well alienX used his own server for it so it wasn't released so you either need a very loyal friend who has a server, or get your own otherwise some ones bound to get their hands on it.

Yes, I'm have a very loyal friend that I've known for many years now who is going to host it. It will be a 14 man, so 7v7... as you don't want 30 tanks lagging everyone up you know.

Good luck. I don't think anyone will be particularily eager to do that.
I'd take a look at Scorpio Midget's Ride in the Country map if I were you, though.
Besides, if you want tanks, why don't you play BF1942 or BF2?

thats a true point! but yea, massive job on your hands there. would suggest getting involed in a modding team then proposing the idea because building up a team from scratch and then dealing with a mod is hard.

Whats good with mohaa is you don't need a badass computer to run those games. I have a godo computer, but not a badass one. I run mohaa and CS: S

If you can ran CSS, you really can run BF2, not mentioning BF1942 which ran even on my crappy previous sys (P2 300 MHz, 192MB of RAM, Riva TNT2 w/32MB of RAM).

Yea, but I don thave money to blow on games

unless you have a DL link I could get it at

which would have to be pm'd to me... I mean if you really had one (which I wouldn't accept that pm ne ways wink wink)
Well the map for mohaa
The Hunt for the King Tiger: Country Road is the map that has the tank. Can anyone give me the name of the map in the form mohaa uses it.

That's really buggy in multiplayer. I'm telling you, get the RiTC map.

I think thats what he was talking about, rather then the map bugging.

thought: see if you could somehow incorporate jv's squad maker script so now along with tanks you could have an assigned bazooka squad made up of 1 zuke, 3 riflemen(or 2 riflemen & a sniper), 1 mg and 1 smg for every three tanks.

Like he gets a zuke and a pistol, few nades n that's it? Like he could be the guy to take out the tanker... (as well as a tank) but would they respawn the same squad member? or do they not respawn.

naaaaaaaah.
you have a server. X amount of tanks. each tank has a 3-7 man attached infantry squad (each would contain at least 1 zuke, 1 rifleman/sniper & 1 smg(squad leader). if your squad is bigger than three, you could add to each infantry unit but would always need at least the afore mentioned weapons per squad. as a tank is knocked out/killed, each member of the infantry unit would move up in weapons (ie. smg/squad leader to tank, zuke to smg/leader, rifleman/sniper to zuke, killed tanker to rifleman...) .
this would make the game play more interesting for these reasons:
1. you're not only trying to avoid the big easy target tanks
2. would allow for more structure other than a big hill to hide the tank behind
3. with the weapon advance play, wouldn't have to worry about everyone wanting to be a tanker.
4. tank, rifleman, smg, zuke...kinda like rock, paper , scissors...no one's really safe.
5. instills some teamwork

Brilliant,

however I'm not a scripter, so

I need to talk to JV and see if he would like to do a joint project.
