Crashing

Hi again :)

I?ve been off for a while...

Well I tried to create a pk3 file for a new map. There are not much textures in it, but every time I try to load it in Radient, Radient crashes :(
I experienced with the last map that I had too many textures...so what else can make i crash than too many textures?

usually its a bad shader - go through your shaders in your pk3 and check everything is shipshape; or just re-write them. its usually a shader issue so also make sure there are no other conflicting pk3s in your main (just take all the random rubbish out)

Im getting gray hair of this :?

I have removed all Pk3 files in main and mainta
My shader looks like this :

textures/OBC_GermanHeadquarter/Lib_door003
{
qer_keyword metal
qer_keyword door
surfaceparm metal
{
map textures/OBC_GermanHeadquarter/Lib_door003.tga
depthWrite
rgbGen identity
}
{
map $lightmap
rgbGen identity
blendFunc GL_DST_COLOR GL_ZERO
depthFunc equal
}
}

Is there something I?ve missed? :)

hmz i havent done shaders in a while, but that looks fine; although a little complex for what only needs to be a basic shader.

is rad throwing out any errors when it crashes?
does rad load if you take out that shader completely?

No, it does not put out any error, it just close down, very fast actually.
It only crashes when I try to load that pk3 in the textures menu.

Code: Select all

textures/mjfacade/brickfacade
{
	 qer_keyword metal
	 qer_keyword door
	 surfaceparm metal

	{
		textures/OBC_GermanHeadquarter/Lib_door003.tga
		rgbGen identity
		depthWrite
	}
	{
		map $lightmap
		blendFunc GL_DST_COLOR GL_ZERO
		rgbGen identity
		depthFunc equal
	}
}
Looks almost the same bar the rgbGen identity is after the blendFunc, give it a go

Hi Mj,

Thanks for your help :)
I?d found out that it was two images that made the trouble. How, I dont know...so now my hair has begun to grow with dark hair again :lol:

Whats the differents between the shader I used in the first place and the one you gave me?
