FF2 = Crash City.

IE7 = some wierd CSS issues... since I only use it for CSS verification thats the only problem I know about tho =p Read about a couple security things tho.

FF2 working fine with no crashes so far. i love the new look. IE tho, god it looks so so so so sooo bad. and works just as bad too!

(woo, this FF2 even has spell check.. I'll never spell incorrectly again! I'm so lazy! ha ha)

I tried and diligently hated Bugzilla's browsers. FF rubbed me the wrong way, took forever to load and took up a gigantic amount of space and processor time; IE was better. can't say for the new ones; might be worth looking into.

spell check is cool, keeps me from inverting n and g as in goign and a billion other similar typos.

I'm not the only one with Mozilla crash issues, apparently its pretty wide spread and hard to track down.... Should be fixable.... technically its not a crash to desktop, its a lock, program stops responding, and is doubled in task manager. Often, the process remains active in the list when this happens, or even after the program is shut down, which will prevent it from re-opening.... so if you ever have an issue with FF2 not wantign (<= see spell chack in forms is nice) to open for you check your process list.

A Microsoft application has to blow me away for me to use it. IE7 seems to emulate Opera quite a bit... can never get used to opera either tho.

'Supposedly' IE7 is much more CSS compliant.... I've seen far fewer hacks needed when people include script for it... but I haven't checked in detail... I do know that I am using some tag in a sheet(or combo of tags) that IE6 sorta choked on occasionally, but IE7 completely has a seizure and refuses to even think about the situation.... which is, I guess, a step up, since IE6 just blindly spits out stuff sometimes... *shrug* I'll have to look into its CSS compatability more now =/

never had any problems with an IE, other than the obvious security difficulties that come with using a common browser. Just upgraded to IE7 and i have to say, it's nice. Got it configured and fullscreened, nice new features, and a well-needed oiling on the speeds. caching is much faster now, going back doesnt re-download the page images, etc. Much better.

I heard about Opera but never tried it. This suits me fine though, i cant think of anything else i'd want to add or append. I don't like tabs, but i usually dont deal with more than two IE's at a time anyway, so it doesn't really affect me.

i dont bias my opinion of a product based on who made it, if i try it an like it, sold. Otherwise, it's not going on the hard drive. Microsoft makes exceptionally good products, but i'm not going to buy their stuff just because it has their name on it, nor am i going to snub it.

Product's a product, it's the company's job to impress me with what they have and continue to do so, not to push their name in my face and have that be the deciding factor.

Been using FF2 for 2 days now, no crashes and it feels to me like it runs smoothly... looks a touch better with the buttons too!

I gotta use IE at work for its web configuration capabilities. I just installed IE7 and got the blue screen of death ahahaha gotta love M$. Using FTP on 7 is kinda wierd.

Ah but with M$ they have an exceptionally long history of wanting to put things on your hard drive whether you want them or not, one might call them the innovators of that in the digital age. Throw in their knack for procudincg buggy and co-dependent programming.... and well no need to start in on the M$ thing again anymore then that. At this point you either grudgingly use their OS and other bits, mock windows at every turn and try to make everything work on Linux, or think they are outstanding chaps who do a heckuva job. There is no one who does not know who Microsoft is, so everyone is somewhat biased one way or another. Simple principle, someone makes something you like, you are favorably inclined towards whatever they make next(to whatever extent).

It has been proven and acknowledged that Firefox just is better than IE.

That's extremely highly disputable, but that's been explained previously.

Face it, Lizard, you're just a m$ fanboy.

Been using FF2 since the beta already, didn't have a single crash and/or problem neither under Linux nor wincrap.

All my extensions already had FF2 versions prepared, so there wasn't any problem with them as well.

The new IE7 looks a heck of a lot like linex. I also like the full screen option. And, even for a while, it was blocking that annoying popup you have to click on to "continue to" when coming to this site. Had to take care of that in the usual way.

i have YET to get a BSOD or have windows do anything other than what i tell it (i got it once in windows 95 when i tried to format a CD drive...), perhaps it's because i actually bought it or maybe because i dont randomly delete system files off it; but it's never crashed and it's easy to remove anything from it, like anything else you just have to know how. I may be a fanboy, but the only reason for it is that i've yet to find something better than what MS offers. FF? explained, perhaps it's just because i clean my computer and customize how it works that IE works better. Excel, Word, Powerpoint? blatently obvious. Calculator? HECK YEAH!

anyway, that's just how i see it. Everything you find on the net works immediately with windows, runs smooth, and the os itself is easy to customize. No popups, decent security, tons of nice features (cleaners especially, and synchronization)

Nothing open-source or downloadable i've ever found beats what i get with the little blue package of Bill "Hitler" Gates. When something i try DOES beat it, i'll switch. until then, i'm more than content to be supporting corporate slavery.

Ive not had huge problems with Office products... but the free OpenOffice products work just as well.

MS products do work as well(within reason) as other products normally. However, the moment you want to use something that is not MS, you are at risk of running into problems. Thats my problem with M$.
