 Any one ever try to make a texture of a mirror. So in game it would actually function. And if so, could you maybe point me in the right direction on how to do this :?:

There were mirror portals back in Quake III, but apparently the developers of FAKK2 (Raven Software AFAIK), EA or 2015 broke them. You can only make a pseudo-mirror texture (players will not reflect in it).

Next time you want to ask a question it wouldn't hurt if you used the search feature. Mirrors have been discussed numerous times.

Thanks.
Sorry about that, I will use the search next time. I just browsed the first couple pages and didn't see it. You can remove this post if this has been disscused before, sorry again.

I just tried searching myself and I must admit that finding info on the subject with the search engine could be rather tough. Sorry for being a bit harsh. ;)

As to creating the reflective texture itself, you can just stand at the point you want the reflection at with your back against the mirror and take a screenshot, then mirror it horizontally in some graphics software. Then you have to use environmental mapping in the shader - refer to the existing ones (search for "tcGen environment" inside the stock shader files in pak0.pk3).

I was looking to actually reflect the player, but oh well. Thanks for the help with the reflecting texture thou, guess I'll have to go with that. If a players askes, I'll tell them they must be a vampire or something
