Post by Liberator »

Is there any other way to open a map in Radient, than through map files?

No, but you can convert a .bsp file back into a .map file with a special program. However, the resulting .map will be far less than useable because converter programs don't work very well.

If you want stuff from the stock maps, get the original released .map files here: http://files.filefront.com/Medal_of_Hon ... einfo.html

Brushes and textures will be messed up after converting bsp files, you have to remake them again anyway.

The SDK opens all the stock maps fine, especially the source ones from filefront... I couldn't find anything wrong with them. I guess they come out all funky in the AA radiant?

No, the ones supplied in the source package are the source (original) .map files that 2015 compiled. The ones that turn out messed up are decompiled ones (i.e. when you try to recover a .map file from a .bsp).
