A problem with MOH1.11 <--> Gamespy

Hi!
I have installed the patch 1.11.
Since then, when I create a new basic server (not a dedicated server), no one can see it in gamespy.
Why is it?
By the way, if someone tries to connect to my server by ip, it works!
But somehow the server is not seen in gamespy.
Can anyone help please?
Thanks!

try ui_gamespy 1 in console, or seta ui_gamespy 1 in your config.

First, go to Options>Advanced and check the "Allow Console" tick mark.
After that hit the grave or tilde key (the ` key, it's right next to the number 1 key), and type "ui_gamespy 1" (without quotes), and hit enter.
Then go ahead and start your server.

I will try both options.
Altough when I start the server,
I always mark the "use gamespy" option, and it does not help.
I have download the "Chicago" map yesterday - just an Amaizing map!!
Two qustions about servers/console:
1. What is the diference between a server and a dedicated server?
2. How can I open the regular chat window I always use, when the console option is checked (The ~ button will now open a different window) ?
Thanks again guys.

I tried the console command mentioned here,
but still my server is not seen in GameSpy.
Any ideas what could be the problem ?
and what is the diference between a server and a dedicated server?

Did you open your routerports for Gamespy Arcade?
If not, check them out

Hi,
No I didn't. I will try that, thanks.
BTW, I also didn't do it when I had 1.0 version and had no problems with gamespy.

Hi,
I do not have a router... Is this still relevant?
I am connected to the internet normally by cables connection.

Any ideas what should I do with this problem (if I don't have a router) ?

If you don't have a router, the ports won't be an issue. Your personal firewall might, but if it worked before you installed the patch that shouldn't be an issue either.
My guess is the patch changes the GameSpy settings - e.g. your 1.11 server is only visible in GameSpy if it is dedicated. Try making a dedicated server and see it shows up in GameSpy. If it does, then you can still join it on the same computer.

Very well, I will try that.
What is the difference between a dedicated server to a non dedicated server?

Basically dedicated means your computer is running the server, but you are not playing. Much faster and more efficient server if you don't plan on playing on it the entire time it's up.

May I ask what the server IP and name is?
