Why does this happen...?

Post by Waylander76 »

After compiling my map I'm getting the effect in the picture in a couple of places...the black triangles.
This is will full vis and final ligting.

What causes this and is there anything I can do to fix it?

A patch or LOD terrain would work better, I think.

They should go away in a final compile.

brushes

He said it was the final compile.

The black spots are caused by overlaping brushes, or brush points that may be slightly off the grid. The vis compile got confused and messed up the lighting compile.
