Heya! Hello2every1.
It's been a while, yeah, but now I'm back in business. :D

Recently I found an old script Nuggets once did to introduce CTF to Mohaa. I know there's Mefy's, but Nuggets' got real flags which I'd prefer. So I decided to give them a try again and put them in my lil map. :)

Now, these flags, when they are stolen, are in a rolled vesion attached to the players back. But: There they turn the wrong way: Player turns left, flag turns right and vv. So, most of the time they float next to the player's shoulder instead of staying on his back.

To get things running, I'd need either someone capable of understanding Nugget's script (which can be downloaded here) or atleast someone telling me how to enable 3rd_person view in a running obj match. This way I could see the results of my trial&error attempts without a second pc.

cya Wacko 8-)

In your script:

setcvar cg_3rd_person 1 // turns it on
setcvar cg_3rd_person 0 // turns it off

 that easy; I tried this in the console but there it was "cheat protected"... thanks, Tom!
Now I can turn that flag upside down and back and forth, and hopefully one setting will result in sth I need :P

Is it a serverside mod?

Code: Select all

self.rolled attach local.player "Bip01 Spine1" "0" ("13 -5 14")
has to be

Code: Select all

self.rolled attach local.player "Bip01 Spine1" "1" ("13 -5 14")
(whatever that means  )

The '1' means the rotation of the model (set with angles) is relative to the bone to which it is attached. If you put '0' the rotation is absolute.
