when i tried to make a beautiful sky with these tutorials everything actually seemed fine. except the grass and my gun. The sky is okay, but the grass is so dark that it looks like night, and my gun too. how can i solve this.
ps i used the command: ambientlight 20 20 20

this is supposed to be bermuda grass, which is very bright green. when i shoot at the ground, it lights up together with my little skin to the original color.

Your skybox looks like it has gaps between the brushes. Try fixing them, and try this key/value.

Key: suncolor
Value: 70 70 70

Ambientlight is mostly for how bright the shadows are. but, with a hole in the skybox, the light compile will fail to create shadows.

Find your favorite mohaa map and open the .bsp in notepad . Some of it is text do a find for worldspawn and look at what settings the mohaa Creators used that may save you some time playing with settings .

i saw in other tutorials from nemisis, that he's just adding light, or putting the ambientlight to values 60 60 60.
last thing i tried, and now it looks perfect
