Ladder Problems

For some reason im having trouble with ladders ik can get most of the way up the ladder but when u nearly reach the top you seem to be blocked but if you turn to right and left while going up the ladder u go all the way to the top - it's very strange and I've got no idea why it's happening

What is above the ladder?
Does your ladder brush extend far enough up?

Heres a screenshot - the ladder brush extends for the same length as the 2 outer rails

I think it needs to extend further. If im not mistaken the players hands will stop at the top of that brush...

Yep! Try and make it a bit higher then the actual ladder. Is that a brush made ladder? If so make the brushes "detail"!!

how far will I need to extend it cos i put it on grid 8 and extended up one sqaure size 0 but still no joy
