Just weather sounds...

I use these lines to make the ambient weather sounds and ambient sounds of gunfire, planes(war sound):

exec global/ambient.scr m5l1b
exec global/weather.scr

I want to only use the weather sounds. I then removed the ambient.scr m5l1b because I thought I'll just get rid of the war sounds. The result was no ambient sounds at all!?

How do make only the weather(thunder and lightning) sounds run?

m5|1b uses the sound/amb_stereo/Amb_M5_TownExt_1.mp3, and this includes war sounds.

Find a setting different to m5|1b (check the various missions)

write ur own mus file, basing on a sound/amb_stereo/*.mp3 u like or a custom mp3.

2nd obviously is more difficult and therefore I'd say u look up one of these disregarded tutorials, where jv did a great job to explain things.
E.g. Containerz is a map, where this has been done by Krane
