Water into wine.... i mean, water.

Post by Ophisâ„¢ »

how do i make it so that the water acts like water and doesn't clip the player? I can get it so my player goes through it by making it a script_object then changing it to noclip but then it doesn't act like water when you shoot it etc... im sure i used to know but i have deffo forgotten.

I use nodraw and only texture the top. secondly, the water has to be deep enough for it to act right.

water

It is better if the bottom face is water texture. Everything between the top and bottom faces is the water volume. But, you have to overlap the bottom of the pool floor -- so the player is not touching the bottom of the water brush. The sides should be nodraw, but they should also overlap the sides of the pool.

Some of the water textures don't work well.
