Hey i started making a new map with a mountain theme and i added a new texture of a mountain peak. What i want to see is only the mountain part but when i use my texture i see the mountain and then a white background. I tired changing the background to black but it apears black in the game. How do i make a transparent brush?

You have to save your mountain image in the Targaformat (.tga) and you need to cut or set all pixels, which should be transparent, to transparent.
Which Image Editor are you using?
Edit: Try some of those programs if you dont have yet:

I use adobe photoshop 7.0, when i saved my image i saved it as a Tga and i put the background as transparent. Its still shows up as a white background.

if i remember rightly..... you have to make an alpha channel and paint anything you want 'see through' in black.... tho i have never tried myself.

Download a map or file for moh that has a half transparent image in it and look at its shader and tga file.
(or look at files already in mohaa.... player icons above their head maybe?)

the alpha channel must be WHITE where you want it to show an image, and BLACK where you want it not to show... works like a mask. Shader doesn not need to be fiddled with i don't think.
