Ok folks I have read a few posts on making .scr files and I am still somewhat confuessed (trust me not very hard for me to get that way). I will write out what I did so you might be able to figure out what I am doig wrong.

1. I open up notepad (is the only text editor I have).
2. I then go to save as and type in my map name(in this case est_sp1) and give it the .scr extension.
3. Then I put " " around it to make sure that notpad makes it a .scr file.
4. then press save.

It works but the problem is that it gets saved as a screensaver file. (Damned .scr extension)
Any ideas would be great all.

Thanks everyone.

Just save it as .txt then right click on the file and rename it. Backspace the .txt and then type .scr :)

To open it to edit further just right click on it and tell windows to open notepad to edit it.

Gen Death, Windows will still tell him that it is a screensaver. He is saving it correctly. Easiest thing to do is just ignore windows. Second easiest thing to do is to associate '.scr' with notepad or a better editor.

Yep...I ignore it also. Just thought that would be easier then the "" thing he was doing.

Also what might help is downloading a scripting program i found. It's calld SCR Editor. Not sure where i found it but it saves files as and SCR without them being a Screen Saver. Hope it helps. I'll try and remember where i found it. :D
