LOD Terrain

Hello again:

My map has a building and some terrain outside. I made the terrain with LOD Terrain option and manipulating vertexes.

Now,

1.- I want to make a "hole" to give an entrance to an hidden tunnel, but i cant use CSG Subtract because it seems to only work with brushes. ?how can i do it?

2.- I have two separated LOD terrains and i dont want to merge them because they're different (grass and concrete). Well, one is higher than the other and i want to make a vertical brush to connect them, but the edge of the higher LOD Terrain is irregular, and the brush will make some ugly edges higher than the highest LOD Terrain. What can i do? Clipper?

Thanks.
tuxcayc.

PD: Sorry for the lenght of the post

Hole

To make a hole use Shift + F to bring up the facet editor. Put a check mark in "Delete" and select the small triangles (facets) you want to remove. They will not vanish in the editor (they turn yellow, I think), but there will be a hole there in the game.

In the docs folder of MOHAATools there is a text file about LOD. It tells how to use the Facet Editor in more detail.

To fix the cliff top, you can use "simple patch mesh" to fill in the gaps. It is under the "Curve" menu.

By the way, The facet editor also allows you to set "Max Detail" on facets that you don't want to change at the different LOD (Level of Detail) settings -- like around buildings and walls. You should check your map for problems using the lowest lod setting in the game.
