lol hi, i'm new to this forum, i just had a question about the co ordiantes of maps... i'm quite new to scripting, and i was wondering if somebody had some map screenshots with co ordinate grids on or something?

or if somebody knew the locations of co ordinates etc, lol because i'm finding it extremely difficult to place objects in the right place i want them in, i need the co ordinates for dm/mohdm1-7, if somebody could help i'd be really grateful thanks :)

umm there is no way you could get all the coords(coordinates) for each map.like every step you take is a coord..if you want a coord go to the position where you want to add something drop down console and type

Code: Select all

coord (or coords)
then that will give you the coord for that position then add the item(s) or trigger and put them there..

I suggest you read some tutorials dude

I think you can also type in "whereami 1" to get constant coordinates. Or, you might try "ui_drawcoords 1" -- I'm not sure what that will do. Setting them back to 0 turns them off.

"whereami 1" didnt do anything for me and "ui_drawcoords 1" simply showed me the coords of the cursor on the screen in x:y format of pixels. So when the cursor was in the top left of the screen it would show me 0:0 and when in the bottom right it would show me 1024:768 (because thats the resolution I run my MOHAA at) but not my players coords within the map... and only when the console was up.

whereami 1

Sorry about that, your coordinates will be displayed in the console, not on the screen. You just have to click outside the console to be able to move around with it open.

I guess the ui_drawcoords thing is for finding locations for menu buttons, hence the "ui" (user interface) preface.
