I just started mapping less than a week ago and I'm working on a map of king tut's tomb along with some fun stuff. So, I'm going to need all the pots I can get for one of the rooms. For some reason, 5 out of the 7 pots don't work at all. I just get a purple box in radiant, and this in the console:

Skeletor CacheAnimSkel: models/static/south_africa_ceramic_pot_1/south_africa_ceramic_pot_1: File extension unknown. Attempting to open as skc file
Skeletor CacheAnimSkel: Could not open binary file models/static/south_africa_ceramic_pot_1/south_africa_ceramic_pot_1
TIKI_InitTiki: Failed to load animation 'models/static/south_africa_ceramic_pot_1/south_africa_ceramic_pot_1' at models/static/south_africa_ceramic_pot_1.tik, line: 20
TIKI_InitTiki: No valid animations found in models/static/south_africa_ceramic_pot_1.tik.
Loading texture static_woodenspoon...failed!

What's going on?

Probably one of those models that made it into the game but shouldn't have. The skeletons might be there but I doubt you will be able to use them.

if you look at the tik file for pot 1 to 5

init
{
server
{
classname object
}
}

animations
{
idle south_africa_ceramic_pot_1.skc <<== Missing extension causing error
}

/*QUAKED static_item_south-africa-ceramic-pot-1 (0.5 0.0 0.5) (-0 -8 0) (16 8 8)
*/

That should fix the issue.
I guess they didn't bother with that detail or didn't use them.

You mean to say most of these models that dont work are because of simple mistakes like this?

We would have to include any up-dated .skc ect with our maps pk3 for players to see them....correct?

Yes they will have to be distributed with the map.
The client needs those tik too.
