The MoHReal (working title) mini-mod

Since I'm very much into realistic tactical shooters lately (I'm addicted to True Combat Elite (it's free!), Project Reality and Armed Assault), I thought MoHAA could also use this kind of gameplay, without changing much of the game's look and feel. This mod is fruit of a few weeks of on and off work in spare time (i.e. when I was frustrated by problems when working on OpenMoHAA :P) and is at an early development stage, but already presents some substantial features. :) Well, enough for some public testing, anyway.

And no, this is not just ironsights. There's also some weapon accuracy tweaking, it's much more realistic now.

Currently the mod is half-server side. I.e. everything apart from the ironsights works even on stock (unmodded) clients. Even the stock clients don't have the crosshair - it only appears when they enter the aiming mode (modded clients will get their ironsights instead). So even peeps without the mod can join the fun. :)

I'd like you to test it and give me some feedback and bug reports. :) If you set up a server, please let me know, I didn't have a chance to actually play it yet. :)

those screenies look good, the wepaons need higher quality skins though, the Thompson ironsights need work

Dude, these are all stock weapons. The mod currently contains no media, only code and scripts.

I don't mean to increase the skin quality or anything, I'll just add stuff to make the ironsights complete.

Have you given it a spin ingame at least? :)

I know that those are stock weapons, just that they look awkward cause they weren't made for ironsights. any way I tested it in safe mode , the Ironsights are fine, though I do get ALOT of map errors

Rook, are those screens on max detail (r_picmip 0)?

211476, these are rendering errors that cannot even be related to the mod. ;) Blame your settings, drivers or the video card.

Jv, I believe these shots were taken at r_picmip 1, as my Linux MoHAA client keeps resetting certain values to defaults despite having them maxed out in my config. :? They don't look any better at r_picmip 0, though.

That's already been a while ago. Dunno if I'll continue it, there's been some stability issues I can't seem to be able to overcome.

I wanted to use it except v0.2 makes my game crash after every map load, can you reupload v 0.1?

No, because I haven't got the file and I can't revert the changes from 0.1 to 0.2 because I just can't remember what I changed. :?

Using the proxy DLLs is a lottery. Touching one thing can break another, completely unrelated one.
