Well, I've finally started with this map, but I'm gettin this error no matter what I do, I even placed the ladder in the open and I still get the error, could anyone give me an example on how it should look like? Would be great.
Thanks, Contex

Who gives this error? q3map? The game? Does it even load the map?

the trigger brush doesn't sink into the ground does it ?

side note: does the ladder texture need to 'envelope' the ladder brushes ?

The trigger brush is at the sime line as the ground, is that a problem?
PKM, could you explain it in other words? Didn't understand that, sorry.
Thanks for the help again

I always kept mine above the ground. high enough for the player to get "on". Never had any problems till it was below ground. try raising yours.

I seriously can't get this to work, I've put it above the ground, should take the put both ladders, the fake and real one above ground or what? I still get the same error :S

the ladders' sides........ can't tell how long ( tall ) they are but having long brushes can create errors. Try and make each side brush using 2 pieces each. .. creating 2 shorter brushes for the sides,

:S That doesn't work either, I tried even with 3 short sides, didn't work. What do I do now? Any suggestion

Try checking in radiant's map info if there are other ladder entities in the map that you are unaware of. Any brush could have been turned into a func_ladder by accident.

Did you delete all you had and start new ? And you used caulk for the ladder itself right ? b4 you textured it.

Owww what you mean?
I did it on new yeah, but what you mean about the caulk? Should i choose it as texture first, then my ladder texture? Or what.
Thanks, Contex

1st question. When you made your ladder...... you used caulk to make the sides and the rungs right ?...( that yellow and redish pink brush )...make sure it says caulk. There are 2 that look alike.
And then you textured it using a metal or wood texture right ?
And then you chose the "ladder" trigger........ which you put in front of your ladder so you can climb up it right ?
and then you selected the ladder ( rungs and sides ) and the ladder trigger and right clicked and chose func/ladder right .?
and then you hit the "n" key to bring up the entity inspector to select your angle right ? .... you hit enter and then deselected everything right ?
And then you "saved as"..( map name ).. recompiled map right ?
