I think that you can do one of two things.
1. If you are still developing you,re map you can just add test_ to the name of you,re map. Like this test_youremapname.map.
2. Or if you are finished with you,re map you should go and check out the tutuarl for ubersound workaround in the tutuarl section. But be warned it is very difficult.
So I think that if you are still developing stage then I would just use the test_ prefix.
But you,re choice.

why does everyone say its " very difficult ". i dont see any reason for it to be difficult (assuming the game plays nice and recognizes your .scr files

). i think it should be reclassified as "intermediate". its mostly just file management, it doesnt even include any real scripting. just a little caching, which is fully explained. copy/paste. time consuming without the right tools to process multiple files..but not difficult really. 5 steps to follow..now how can you call that hard?

If you are testing the map you don't get sound anyway until you create a 'pk3' file.....but then again I could be wrong

I don't think that's correct. Anyway, I know a lot of people have had problems with the ubersound work-around, so appearantly it's difficult

.

If you don't hear anything at all, then make sure your compiled map (.bsp) is in the right directory and you start the right gametype. Assuming you have a DM map the bsp-file has to be in ../main/maps/dm for the (normal player/weapon) sounds to work. Make the directory if it isn't there. Same goes for an Obj-map, that has to go in ../main/maps/obj
In Mbuilder you can set "copy bsp to mapdirectory (set by gametype)", if that doesn't work then you have to manually copy/paste it in the right folder before starting the game.
