Why Does Light "seep" Through My Walls?
Yet another problem I'm attemping to overcome. Why light is actually passing under my walls I've built. When you divide a room into two sections, is it necessary to actually culk completely the way through. In other words the walls I've currently created are brushes residing inside the room making it two rooms. The shadow that is cast is only partial. Take a look at the photo below. It almost looks like the wall is hanging in mid air instead of dividing the room into two sections.

Although I'm not completely satisified with the results, it does work! Thanks. I want to do some more research, and with the help of these source maps I have, I can look into how to make the maps I creare more realistic. That's what I'm going for here. (sn) Did you ever noticed how the lighting on the mp maps is always higher then the regular maps? This has always bugged me. I like a picture that is not "flushed" so-to-speak. So, I went in and retrained some of the lights to be linear, and that really did the job. The coloring to the maps looks more vivid now.
