turning the map to PK3?

ok. so i got teh compiler to work. but how do i turn it into a PK3 with pakscape?

doing this from memory....hope it's right

open pakscape.

file/new.......i think......or the green icon in the left pane.

click on the little yellow folder

name it maps... hit enter or ok

click on maps folder....go up to the little yellow folder and click.

name it dm or obj......whatever your map is.

hit enter to save it.

click on dm folder......go up to import/file...... look for what you want to put in it......hit ok or enter.

go to file/save as mymap.pk3

ok. so i compile it. now im at teh last point where u go open file import tihngy. which one do i put in

the builder?
bak?
bsb?
lin?
map?
vis?

or all of tehm into the file im turning to pk3?

? im guessing not. i jsut followed ur steps to teh things to u want to turn into PK3 but i duno what goes in for MOHAA MAPS

ok

example:
mapname.bsp
mapname.min

in pk3 they go like this,

maps/dm/mapname.bsp
maps/dm/mapname.min

or if its OBJ

maps/obj/mapname.bsp
maps/obj/mapname.min

and if you have a .scr file
maps/dm/maname.scr

or OBJ

maps/obj/maname.scr

unless you are going to release your map you do not need to put it in a pk3, just leave it in your main/maps/dm or obj folder, it can still be played

well i do want to give it to ppl. but i ahvnt played it yet. cuz. i compile it. but i type in map citylimits and it says file not found so i put it in map figureing it wasnt but it was so i copied and did it again and still wont work so i thought if i PK3 it it will work in main. in make multiplayer game

ug. ok i compile it. everything runs. but then i duno what i do to play the map. haha i still havnt been able to play it i type in map citylimits to console but its says unknown file or not found...so i duno what to do then after that gets fixxed how do i pk3 it?

ok,

directions from main menu

Main Menu
->
Door To The Right
->
Board On Right Side
->
Select Gametype
->
Select map from map list

and then if it doesnt work make sure you have a info_playerstart entity inserted in moh radiant

well i under stand that i mean. like i compile it then i go to console type map citylimits and the cannot find things shows. and i have teh satrt in the map. i duno why it aint workin so i thought. maybe if i PK3 it i can put it in teh main folder and play as in starting a multiplayer game. beacause it is for multiplayer.

go into the console and type maplist.............
