Why does a patroller stop when I get in his way?

They use pathnodes in the map that form navagation routes the AI must use to move . You block them because not enough nodes in area to form other routes or nodes too far apart .

So if I am using waypoints, I put pathnodes randomly around the path?

Yeah, something like that. You actually need pathnodes for the AI to move at all.

They move with waypoints. Do the pathnodes have to be named in anyway for them to move?

No, they don't need names.

Okay I put pathnodes a little right of his path and each under 64 units apart. When I get in his way he does backpedals to the last pathnode and runs to me. Am i missing a code or something?

The more pathnodes you have the more choices the ai have .This picture shows the AI routes the lines are from pathnode to pathnode . This is with a custom .pth file for Mohdm1
