Before Game Screen....

This is not for me, a friend wants me to ask =P

ok so there's this server, and they used to have this thing, dunno what its called, i thought it was known as a loading screen. Anyway what it does is..its loads the map, but before you can see the game, it gives you a screen with information on where to download custom maps and such. I have a messege running thru autokick to let people know where to download the jv bot mod, but ppl don't pay attention. So i thought that screen might help. I made a pic of what i kinda want it to look like if you think you can help

All done with huddraw. Use

Code: Select all

huddraw_shader <index> "textures/mypicture.tga" 
to make a picture appear on screen. Set the alpha to 0.0 to make it disappear again. Consult the Huddraw document supplied with Radiant for more info about huddraw. Use the Last 2 variables of the huddraw_rect to size the picture.

Wouldn't that make it clientside? MoG Armageddon (the creator of what she wants) did it with a state file, and stufftexted something...wasn't anything with hud_draw tho...

I have no clue what he did, but I have a copy of his mod, if you would like it...um send me ur email or something lol. :)

Yes unless the picture is stock. If the client does not have the picture, you may stufftext all you want with globalwidgets, he will never see it. Besides there are only 3 globalwidgets. So one is for the picture and the other 2 for the text.

If you already have it, what's the problem then?
