I can't remember ever doing this but It never occured to me i wouldn't be able to scale a script_object with script.
Does anyone know is this possible and how?
my chess board is a script object and I had planned I would be able to set the scale with script but it isn't working.
I tried like this.... I can change the origin and the angle, but the scale has no effect. any ideas?
Code: Select all
$board_marble.origin = ( $center.origin + ( 0 0 50 ) )
$board_marble.angle = 45
$board_marble.scale = 0.5

By what I learned from mapping...... a brush is a brush..... you're stuck with what you got.

script_objects made from brushes are far more versatile then a brush that is a brush....
you can duplicate them, remove them, hide them, move them, change thier angle .... catch breath. I believe you can even make models with them, So no one is stuck just yet.

Let me know how to scale it.....
OK, I went for a ride this afternoon. On the way it dawned to me that you can't scale the brush, but what you can do is scale the bot... ( player ) If the bot will see the board as smaller I don't know.

I don't think scaling the player will change the scale of the board...
We have scripts that show players as either giants or very small. The POV of the player doesn't change though.

maybe try setsize instead of scaling it? I know u can scale a script_model but never tried a script_object......if u can make a brush a model could u just make it a model then scale it?....sounds like alot of work though
