Post by Andy »

What are the dimenstions for the standard door that are used in MOHAA? I have a bunch of doors, but none of them look quite right...

look here viewtopic.php?t=954&highlight=door+size

I make wooden interior doors 3 units thick, that would be 2 1/4"

Dimensions depend on each situation. Normal doors I vary between 112 and 120 units (7 and 7 1/2 feet) tall. Depends on textures too... the dark wood like ones I make smaller, the colored, 'richer' looking ones I tend to make taller. Width, in my opionion, should be 48-54 units. Double door sets depend again, you can go with two narrow, linked doors at say 32 each in a market type setting or two wider ones for apartments, offices, etc.

Just be true to the environment. Keep the scale and textures to the setting. Don't do eye candy with scale and textures....use good detail brushes to add depth and realism. Nothing like bad scaling and poor texturing ruin good maps.

I don't care much about the size. I just make a door that just roughly higher than the player/ai.
