How to convert single player maps to multiplayer map?

Hello all!!!

I tried to take a single player map (which I found beautifull), and to make it as a multiplayer map.
I succeded in creating a lonely pk3 file.
I succeded also in loading the map in multiplayer mode, and starting running around.
But, German soldiers fomr the single player mode are still there (I can kill them), but they do nothing, and after some minutes, the map exists and go back to the main menu.
I wonder how I could do to get rid of the german soldiers...

One ather thing, I wonder how to "de-compile" the map, in order to remove (or eventually add) some elements in MOHAA Radian and to make the map lighter...

Can somebody help me??
Thank you!!!
Toto

It can be done! There are some levels remade befor the level editor came out. It was not done by decompiling the maps (there are a few BSP to Map tools but you will have a lot of work to do with the map, you won't get it as the original)

As I said there are some remade map and I think they used some kind of Hex editor! Sadly I don't know how they did it! You can change stuff with a hex editor but the file won't load after changing it. The guy who remade them worked around this problem in some way!

I don't recall his name but I think it was "blackonyx" maybe you can find a remade map in the download area for AA.com, it was a SP level from Mohaa, I think he named it "german winter" or something like that! (maybe he made several, don't remember).

Then you have push_city hall, that was a SP level remade into a push the flag obj!

I would recommend that you make your own maps instead! I think that much more fun!

couldn't you just convert them back to .map and take all of the A.I. out of the map and the script?

sounds like a good idea. lot of maps in the game that i would like to play as dm, ctf, or tow.

great idea!

Don't do that without acknowledging the author. And what you're trying to do is almost as good as .... impossible.

as long as you don't take credit for any of the work and acknowledge the 'authors', then i don't think there would be any problem. it is like taking a copy of picaso painting and then changing the painting in any way i want. as long as i don't say "hey look what i did" it should be fine.
as long as you acknowledge picaso.

and nothing is impossible when it comes to a computer and a good hacker...........ask kevin
