I have yet to see a tutorial on the "common" textures

ie: area portal, all the caulks, all the clips, dirt, foliage, light, etc,etc.

I have no clue as to what half of these mean. I think it may be a good idea to get a tut out there that explains how these work, so beginner mappers like me can learn how to use them.

Anyone know of a tut out there that can explain them? If not, maybe one could be created.

Actually, I don't know all of them, only the common ones used, e.g clip, metal clip, origin, ladder.....etc

I don't know what al the clips do. I only know the common ones: origin, ladder and rain -> I can't even get them to work properly half the time.

Plus - if anyone can help with a very basic Obj script (link,tut,or thread) that would be great. Just something to start me off.

Clips prevent bullets and other objects from going through.

See original map scripts (e.g. the hunt - obj_team1) for a basic obj script.
