General Structure textures...

Post by sl1pt »

Everytime I try to load this set of texture, Radiant crashes. Anyone else ever have this?

Yes that's a very common problem. Better use the texture search box instead.

It might be related to the amount of memory your system has. I have 256 MB of RAM and have never had that problem. Though from time to time if I run Radiant for a long time (say about 4 hours, if thats long for you guys.) I'll get a messagebox telling me virtual memory is running low. This doesn't crash my system but makes it sluggish.

The white box in the upper left screen. There just type f.e. stone and you'll get all stone textures

Yup, I have the same problem, almost every time. If you load the texture set before you load your map, and then load your map, go to textures -> up, you should see the general structure set there. With the new version of Radiant the texture set crash doesn't occur.

To avoid system crashes in cause of low memory, I use RAMBooster, which you can find here:

I like it very much and it's freeware, too! It watches the available amount of RAM and frees it up if it gets too low and you can do a manual RAM-cleaning aswell!
