I have some brushes that appear in my skybox when I crouch. I have quickly loaded a webpage with some images on so that you can see what I mean. I have also put more info in this page about the problem.
http://quantums-bunker.tk
The problem is that when I crouch down, another darker brush appears in my skybox walls. This affect also happens if I am in one of my sniper towers facing South West. The brush
looks like a night time sky brush.
Any ideas? More info from the URL above.

Did you use a different sky at one time? It looks like a brush may still have that texture. A shorter one that the sky box maybe.

No I didn't use a different sky texture. I have also deleted my skyboz walls and remade them. It is still the same. the only thing I can think off is to slowly rebuild the map from scratch. I would just select tall on the prefabs etc, but i could pick up this "odd" brush again.
I'm really stuck

AAARRRGGGHHH!
Can anyone help me....PLEASE. I would like to make at least one map before I hurl this piece of tin out of my window [would I need to script the window being smashed if I did?]

Did you get any floatplane errors when compiling?

No I don't think so. I hear other people taking about compile erorrs, and I never get them. Do I need to tell MBuilder to show more output when it's compiling? It so what switches are best [don't forget I'm a newbie and this is my first map...lol]
I do get some errors on compile but they are relating to fences brushes on a hut I have [although I have no idea where these brushes are]. The only other error I get is
Entity 0, Brush 221: duplicate plane
Does this mean anything. How can I find brush 221?

In radiant I believe you can go to EDIT, FIND ENTITY/BRUSH, enter the # of the brush and select OK. This should highlight the brush in question.
hope this helps

Thanks I will give that a try.
Still doesn't help with these strange lights in the sky though. Still needing help on this.
When I compile these are my MBuilder settings
BSP -blocksize 0
VIZ -fast
Light -fast
I dont think this would produce an odd brush though, or would it?

maybe try it without -blocksize 0. When making my map I found that if I use that setting I would lose the textue off 1/2 my bunker complex.

No that's totally impossible. It must have been caused by something else. -blocksize 0 is a perfect switch.
The find brush option is in the 'misc' menu.

Yes thanks I have found the brushes erroring in MBUilder, but still I have these other goddam brushes appearing. This is getting to be a pain. I have remade the skybox well into double figures now and still they are there. I have had other people check this map out and they get the same.
I really am stuck

You could try to select all brushes (make a brush enveloping your map in xy view and press select -> tall brush) and paste into a new map as a prefab.

I have already thought of that, but I didn't want ot try just in case I pick up these rogue brushes [assuming they are brushes].
I will try this and see what happens. I guess it is my only hope. Nobody seems to know what to do about it. Although I am grateful for all the advise I have been given.

I cut and paste and still I get the same problem...I think I will have to scrap it or start again
I do not know what else to do.

Maybe you can find out which texture it is that you're seeing through the regular sky? If you can find the name, you can fix your map with a text editor 8).
