can you just have fog in one part of the map?
I have a large open aove ground area in my map which is covered in fog, but the fog is also UNDERGROUND in the tunnels and bunkers!
Is there anyway to just have it above ground NOT all over the map?
I am using this in the .scr to get the fog
$world farplane 7500
$world farplane_color (0.675 0.663 0.651)

I think volumetric fog was removed to not interfere with the farplane.
Pretty annoying

I'm using the farplane stuff in may map, and if you calibrate it correctly it should look OK indoors too ( That is if you dont have too large areas indoor ).
My map is a HUGE factory, and I think the indoor fog effect works OK because I have a light level and color that gives it the "EARLY morning" feeling...
Take a look at my map
here.
The setting values I use are:
ambient
suncolor = 10 10 17
ambientlight = 3 3 3
$world farplane 5500
$world farplane_color (0.3 0.3 0.3)
But yes, I agree: If they have indeed removed the fog possibility, that will crush mi idea of installing a sauna in the showers on the lowest level...

Well you can create something like steam with particle effects. 8)

So i can put a fog brush in say a square room that is a cooler? I am making a hanging meat cooler right now. The meat has player clips.

Need fog effect in the cooler.
