New tutorial

Yes, you've all seen tutorials on how to make MP ojectives, but after looking up a few and really not getting it ( no I'm not stupid, if a professional programmer can't get a good overview of how its done from a tutorial, the tutorial is probably f****d up ) I went to the source. I reverse de-compiled V2 and started to figure out what was REALLY happening in there.

This resulted in a more complete tutorial than I've yet laid my eyes on ( Hey! Yo can blow up other stuff than Flak88's you know :wink: ).

It contains:
1. Making a bomb.
2. Making a trigger for the bomb.
3. Something to blow up.
4. Blast radius calibration and an alternative to it.
5. Throwing debris out of the explosion and were to throw the debris.
6. Something left after the explosion?
7. Last but not least: some scripting.
8. Comlete example .map and .scr files using all above.

GR8 TUT!!!! If only I had this when I first started!!!!

JUST FOR NOOBS (One little thing the tut misses):

teamwin axis // or allies
and the
level waittill allieswin // or axiswin

can be used to complete any obj

so if you have

Code: Select all

axis_win:
$trigger1 waittill trigger
teamwin axis
end
then you have a bombless obj, but an obj nonetheless

level waittill axiswin is probably the most useless command ever invented :roll:

Nice tut man i am definitaly going to use it
