I caulk everything before I texture it, but sometimes I run into problems with the seams showing or flickering because caulk is on the underside or near it but not showing. How is it that you caulk?

Do you mean flickering in Radiant or when playing the compiled map?
If in radiant: ignore it, not a problem... disappears in game.
If in game: flickering is caused by 2 brushes occupying the same space ( the gfx engine can't decide what texture to draw )... Check to see if you have "double brushes" or overlapping textures.
If this is not a relevant answer, re-phrase the question....

Naw that was it. It's just that I check for the overlapping. Don't find it. Go back to game and still I see the little white line. Is that a 16bit thing or am I missing something.

Nevermind. you were right.

It looks great. Just my crappy mapping skills. I'm getting the hang of it now.

Wait I found an example

Here is an example. It's being such a caulk when I try to script exploders and the stupid caulk lines show through the seams. The grids are aligned so this is bothing me to end.

Caulk can
never cause texture fighting as it's not drawn

you're using the wrong caulk eg blank_lightmap caulk is no good
you need a caulk with caulk written above it

Well if it doesn't draw it then I wouldn't see the line would I?

OOHHHHHH. Silly me

I see. I thought I used the right one. That was it. That damn caulk was making the line
Thanks Jv and company.
