Mada a little Circus like in Gladiator for close combat (not much sniping, I assume

)and now I'm wondering whether it's worth to make it ready...
I've done this more or less because I wanted to try out those torches, we discussed in another thread, but after the first (and 2nd and 3rd...) compile, they behaved very strange: Some didn't flicker at all and some just when viewed from a special angle, so I kicked the flicker-script and made just non-flickering but atleast animated torches.
Please take a look and tell me what you think of it, what I should add or delete, and about bugs (though I found some already)!
Here is it: dm_gladiator.pk3 (~800KB)

A Larger Version of that might be Nice - Torches Look Good

Thanks (torches...)
I won't make it larger if most people say it's boring anyway, because a larger version won't be more interesting.
It would only be better for more players, but me, I'm mostly looking for small maps for small LAN-parties of 2-4 players, and these little maps are rare enough or just first-tries of mapping-starters.
Once again, tell me what you think of it!
Nice

Hey thats a nice map Wacko. The torches are funny too. But a larger version would be nice. With some MG42's or something. Boring?

No.

larger version is made!
here are 2 pics:

Unfortunately, before starting to think about it, I used some textures from RTCW! What do U think, will this become a problem when I release this map?!

in the style of cartman... wacko where you from? if you not from america.. or if you are and dont have comedy central then you would have no idea... South Park is a great show (and its a real town and i live pretty close to it here in colorado) and cartman is the funniest person on the show
nice map wacko.. im using RTCW textures in my new map too lol i hate rtcw the only good thing they did was skins and textures... nice looking map.
And dont worry about copy rights... just dont give out any information about your self for a long while... lol

Don't like the drawing style of South Park, so I don't watch it, I'm rather a Bender fan, though some years ago we could watch the original and now Futurama comes with German synchronization which is a catastrophy! Anyway, as I don't watch SP, I have really no idea what cartman has to do with a circus (probably, you don't mean the 'c'!?)
But that's just me, many people here know and love South Park! As I said, it's just the way they are drawn: I prefer the old(!) Donald movies for their fantastic mimic and fluid motions.

lol, too

I'm not sure whether that helped me much...

mmm.
as you are all fine ppl who know what is right and what is wrong,
here's the pk3. If you do NOT own a legal copy of RTCW, you of course MUST NOT d/l it, but I'm sure you know about that!!
As you might see, it could be optimized in several aspects, but as I have another map running, I won't do much with this circus the next weeks, so if you find something missing or anoying,
here's the map file (
Attention: it's compressed with WinRAR!), so do what you like with it, but let me know... 8)
And: If anybody asks, even I have never heard of me.

the map file isnt at all a map file... its a .RAR file... what ever the frig that is... can you plz post a .map format of your map so we can actualy open it in radiant... and about the cartman thing.. the C in cartman has nothing to do with the C in circus.. when shifty wrote "in the style of cartman SWEET!!!" he was just saying that cartman tends to say sweet in his own particular way... which is just as funny as anything else on that show..
