Weapon TIKI problem

Hi,

I've made some custom weapons (TIKIs, with changed name, accuracy, etc.) and I want to include them in game (replace the original ones with them). Everything is OK, except one thing: it's not displayed in the viewmodel. Why? Can I fix it?

You have to backup a copy of the original, then place the tiki into the pk3.

It's everything OK with the pk3s and backups, it's because of the weapnname variable in the TIKI, and I don't know how to work it around :(

Hey, I've sorted it out! It's because the game can't find animations - in the console there are lots of 'can't find animation unarmed_fire' etc. I've got the HUD displayed correctly - the ammo and the weapon name, but the model isn't shown :cry: This is the problem: the game 'thinks' that player isn't holding any weapon. Does somebody know how to fix it??? :?: :?: :?:

Renaming your weapon like an original gun seems the only way to fix this :cry:

yes JV is right that is the only way to make it work. Because we dont have an SDK. IF we did we would have so many new player weapons/cars/signs blah blah blah out that people would be starting to get sick jk. But we really do need the SDK in order to not replace to original weapons in the game. Plus the weapons wont work unless the server has the same weapons you do. Right? right?
