extracting a pk3 file

Post by Sub_Zero »

Hi,

I am quite new to the mapping scene, but I have managed to create some simple maps and I understand the basics of MohRadiant. But what I really dont understand yet is scripting. So I have 2 questions:

 How do I get the ubersound.scr or uberdialog.scr file :?:

 I got a tutorial from Nemesis' page but he gives an .pk3 file, i can walk around all that, but that doesnt help me much with understanding the scripting for sound, does it :?: I wonder how I can 'extract' this pk3 file (cause i know a pk3-file is a zip-fiel) it doesnt work with winzip or winace :?:
Please help me and forgive me if it is a stupid question.

1)Read the tut in this page, very useful

2)Use pakscape, very useful.
Live to map, not map to live.

pk3 files work perfectly with winzip. The sound tut you should be on the lookout for is this: /tutorials/ubersound.php

Sub Zero make sure you are careful when open  ing a pk3 pack. Don't modify your packs directly. Make a copy of the pk3s in the mohaa main folder into a folder some where where you can mess with them.
