Post by Desert Eagle »

well I am off to making a Spearhead TOW Map. I did some searching and was wondering. If a bursh is caulk, then compiled, is it a structual brush or becuase it is transparent in game after compile it is not?

Caulk is not transparent for the compiler. Thank god all caulk brushes may remain structural.

Thanks JV, I played around today with brushes with caulk on next map. Learned some good things.

With well placed caulk brushes, vis, hint and area portals, I can get outstanding fsp on a outdoor map. Also been playing around with manual vis.

Also been playing around with scripting....you can do just about anything with it, if it is writen right...going to have fun with TOW map. Kinda of tired of the old open the door, blow up the spawn, call off or on artillery that is used in the stock tow maps.

What you said about doing anything with scripting is true. In a TOW map, you can have anything be the objective. From saving an AI player to destroying a transport. Its sweet. Thank god for the SDK documentation and this site for its many tutorials. I appreciate it. :)
