MOHAA: Texture Viewer

Post by NathanielPT »

Here is my "MOHAA: Texture Viewer" program.
http://www.geocities.com/misnazbeira/TextureViewer.zip
Un-zip and you will get two files. The ".exe" file and a ".txt" file. Make sure they are in the same directory. When you run the program it will ask where your textures are. You will need to decompress the textures out of the ".pk3" file if you haven't already done so. The program can only read ".jpg" files at the moment, so you will have to convert all the ".tga" files to ".jpg". You can browse the textures by subset (i.e. algiers, bunker, barrel, central_europe, etc.), or by texture type (i.e. wood, glass, concrete, metal, etc.). Hope this is helpful. Post any comments about the program here.

Version 1.0.22

Post by NathanielPT »

Here it is! The absolute latest version. Hopefully that last.
The 40KB Zip file contains all you need. The executable, the readme.txt, and the texures list. The program was written in Visual Basic so you will need the VBRuntime DLL, if you have MBuilder than you have the files. The readme file contains information on how to run the program and how to report bugs or suggestions. I will post all bug fixes here. So keep an eye out!
Enjoy!

Version 1.0.22 has been uploaded. Fixed a bug with copying textures into the clipboard. Enjoy!

Now it would be nice if I could get a little feed-back on the program. It is very hard to find all the bugs by myself. So, please download and comment.

Thanks!

KICK-ASS idea for a program... I'm glad I randomly clicked this forum now.

One problem, however, is that I can't seem to get it to even run.
My install path to MOH is not like the default, I even enter it in case sensative. However, no matter what, it comes up with a nice run time error '76' if I click on anything but subsets - which will ultimatly not find the textures and get the same error - i.e. not finding any files.

Not sure where to go here, I've tried an install of MOH I have on another drive in another folder... But I can't get either to get picked up by your program. I'll reboot later and give it another whirl.. Hopefully it was just something stupid I did that is preventing it from working.

Thanks and neat program:>

Sorry for the delay, but I have been busy. I just uploaded the newest version of "MOHAA: Texture Viewer". It can be found at:
http://www.geocities.com/misnazbeira/TextureViewer.zip

It was written in VB6 so you will need the VB6 runtime DLL. I don't include it with the program to save space. If you have/use MBuilder than you have the DLL you need. I think MOHAA may have the DLL with it. Also be sure to read the "readme.txt" for information on how to use the program.

Any bug reports and/or suggestions will be greatly appriciated.
