Man, where do you mappers come from? I feel so unworthy! How do you people do such realistic maps? I have to say, for me, it's mindboggling! I like the screenshots so far. Looking forward to the finished product!

Its a winter night map for MOH:AA and it takes place in Norway. It's not an historical map, just fiction. There are many things which you can do as allies. Blow up electricity houses (some parts of the map will be without lights then) A Gestapo Officer has to be killed...and much more.

The objectives change in your objective screen (TAB KEY)
The map is actually divided into two parts. One outdoor section which is very large. And one indoor section. I am working on the indoor section now in a different map as the outdoor section. When the indoor section is finished I will release that as a DM/TDM map. After that the indoor section will be imported to the outdoor section and then it will become an Objective map. 8)
I have been thinking about adding axis bots...not sure about that part yet...

Man that looks good.
BTW in that screen where you are holding a garand how do you bend the tubes? The look like and S.

First I make a regular square brush with a dark looking metal brush. Then I select CURVE, then PRIMITIVES, then CYLINDER.
Now you have a nice looking tube. You can stretch the brush to the desired lenght and width. then hit CTRL+B to select the bend mode. now you can hit TAB to select various bend modes...
Just try and try it all over again untill you have the tube you want. Problem with primitives is that you CANNOT scale the textures nicely. Thats why I use a dark looking metal texture. I also made a func_barrel from the tubes, So when you shoot at them there's oil and water comming out....

You then have to make sure it's indestructable, otherwise with a grenade explosion the tube will blow up which can make strange results like the brushes who connect the tubes hanging in mid air...
hope this helps...
