aaaagggghhhhh!
I have a terrain with only one texture plus a sky and I get black squares and in some spots "holes" that do psychadelic stuff with the texture but can't fall through...

Maybe you could be a little bit more specific (especially on the 'psychadelic stuff')? I assume you textured your terrain?

sry newbie to asking for help...
my map has one texture for the entire terrain...streetgravel
in mohrad everything looks great...no visible errors
after I compile and launch map I get black spots like two textures don't blend well, but I am using only one texture for the whole terrain
then I have a couple of what looks like voids in the ground, they are white holes when seen from a distance but when you walk up to them they take the terrain texture and do this type of vertigo effect where it looks like the texture is spinnging in a whirlpool

Well if your map is only a skybox with a terrain patch in it, you might as well consider recreating it.
I'd also love a screenshot 'cause I've never seen a gravel whirlpool

I think I tracked the "holes" down to something to do with flat triangles.
In Easygen v1.42 I selected the show flat triangles and the same shape of my "hole" appeared highlighted in red on the terrain, I edited the terrain so it wasn't flat in that spot and my hole went away...but I still have the black spots like the textures don't blend...I'm only using one texture! how can textures not blend with themselves?
I also have four screen shots from the holes, I can post them or email you the links if you's still like to see them.

Regarding Terrain issues, I am having a similar one with my latest map. I have bridges in my map, and when I am underneath them I see no gap where the bridge meets the ground, but if I am a distance away, a gap appears. It must be a visual error, because when I throw on the binoculars, the gap dissapears. I have the LOD Terrain scaled to 25 triangles to avoid lag in Radiant. Any way to stop these popup gaps from showing at a distance? They appear under the roads and walls too, and even though there isn't really a gap there, it takes away from the visual effect I am trying to achieve. I can post some screenshots if you need more specifics.

An edited version of it, yes. Will it conflict with something? If so, I'll take it down.
