This mapping finally going right for me. I had previously followed the tutorial for setting up radiant. Now I've followed the tutorial for adding a mg-42. When I compile I get:
WARNING: could not find 'models/statweapons/mg42bipod.map'
How do I remedy this?

Use the bipod from the turretweapons menu or read Innkeeper's model maps tutorial 8).

Don't know what that error means, but it works.....kinda. When I press <ENTER> to switch to mg42, it works good. When I press <EMTER> again to quit using mg42 , I go back to holding my pistol, the mg42 is still on the wall, but I am now also holding a non-functional mg42...wierd. Any ideas on that one?

If you get that error it means the model is non-solid in game. So you can walk and shoot through it.

How do I make it so I can't walk through it or so this doesn't happen. Also, I can spin the mg42 360 degrees with me stepping off the side of a building to do it without falling. How can I fix this?

Go look at the tutorial page it has a TUT on not walking through solid objects.
take make it move with the mg42 put the metal clip made as a rectangle on the MG42 then give it this

For the Metal clip give it these
Targetname
MGClip

For MG42

Targetname
MG42_1

then open your map scr and type this after waittillspawn

Code: Select all

$MG42_1 glue $MGClip

I hope this works for you.[/code]
