I have a large flat brush. Now I decided I want to put an opening in the middle of it. Can I do that using the one brush, or do I need to make the one brush into four creating the opening?

You can create a brush the size of the opening you want...make sure it intersects the large brush and then use "CSG Subtract". Some have had better luck creating the seperate brushes themselves but CSG works fine for me.

there are two ways.

DANGEROUS ALWAYS SAVE BEFORE DOING THIS ONE

1.Make a brush the size you want the opening to be. The at the top of MOHRadiant it has something called CGS Subtract it is right by the hollow button. MAKE SURE EVERY POSSIBLE PROGRAM is off when doing this execpt MOH Radaint. Insert that brush into the place you want to have opend and click that button. This will either crash you PC into a grinded hault or if your lucky make you an opening.

2.make a brush then press space. This should double the # of brushes. Then put it back into place becuase it usually get unalined. Then drag one brush from left to right and the other from right to left. And do the same for the remaining sides.

There seems to must be explained:
1st A brush MUST have atleast 4 faces and atleast 4 vertices, which would be a pyramid with 4 triangular faces

2nd A brush MUST NOT be concave at any vertex (i.e. must not have angles INSIDE that are larger than 180? (see 3rd)

3rd A brush MUST NOT have more than two vertices that lie in one line at a time, which makes the largest possible angle at the edges 179? (plus something)

Therefore, a brush cannot have a hole, because atleast some of the angles INSIDE the brush would then be larger than 180?

As described before you must make atleast 3 brushes that enclose the space you want to get as the hole. For a square hole, you'll need ofcourse atleast 4 brushes.

If you did know this, then I'm sorry for wasting your time but your questtion made me believe there were some doubts about these facts

This seems to work with no problems. Will find out when done compiling.
Thanks
