Oh... sorry... I thought the reference to Bill Hicks was enough to put a big irony ( with a sting of truth ) into the post.

For those of you who dont know who he is:
He is a chainsmoking American-hating American with a tendency to take mind altering drugs and say profound things. He is a big nail in the eye of anyone who take themseves ( or their country ) to seriously...

I have enjoyed .map from the first time that I found it. I have learned a great deal here and hope that my contributions have helped others. One thing that I have really enjoyed is the absence of political bantering.

With the turbulent and uncertain times we live in, emotions are running high. I have seen threads in forums at other sites erupt into raging political flame wars. Please do not do that here.

I have been a bit dismayed at the few threads that have been a bit more than negative concerning other mappings sites. Personally I prefer .map over the others I have visited, but use the others as resources as well. We are all here because of an interest or love for creating new possibilities for Medal of Honor.

The absence of emotional issues can only enhance the pleasure and flow of knowledge here at .map

It has often been said that amongst friends you should never discuss religion and politics. It just leads to many problems and as IK says can lead to prolonged flamewars. This site is for mappers of any race, creed or religion. You guys are here because you map for the MoHAA community and are judged certainly by me only on those merits I don't care if your a 15 Muslim, or a 76 year old Chinese grandmother.

Everyone has the right to be proud of their country BUT you also have to respect the views of other people.

Again as IK said, tensions are running high, and this isn't the place to discuss them. I have my own views on thw world today, but I keep them seperate from this site. I would hope that everyone else can do the same...

Yarik m8 - The thread was locked because of other posts in it. Please try and respond calmly when things like this happen. If you need to know who locked your thread ask a moderator. Only 6 people have the right to lock / move / close / delete threads at .map and most of the time they come to me to ratify their decisions.
